Baker & McKenzie has advised Turkish Bank Akbank on a $1bn (€774m) bond issue, which closed on Friday (23 July). It is the largest ever international bond transaction from a Turkish company and was substantially oversubscribed.
London capital markets partner Simon Porter (pictured), New York capital markets partner Laurence Pettit, and London senior associates Nicolas Rogivue and Natasha Izmaylova advised the bank, alongside Turkish law firm Cerrahoglu.
