France's Bredin Prat joined best-friend Uría Menéndez of Spain to advise Crédit Mutuel-CIC in the creation of a new banking platform with Spanish bank Banco Popular, represented by Cuatrecasas. The two banks will control the platform jointly, each with a 50% stake.

 

In exchange for a 50% stake in the new banking platform, French bank Crédit Mutuel-CIC will invest €312m, valuing the new entity at €625m.
